This was a collaborative publication design project redesigning a Jane Austen classic "Emma." Our concept behind this piece was combining the classic period piece of Emma with a girly/grunge 90's aesthetic. To achieve that grunge feel, all detail within the pages that looks hand drawn is exactly that, hand drawn. We experimented with scanning drawings in that we did with materials like nail polish, eye liner, and lipstick. We wanted the textures to be as authentic as possible. Creative directing, styling, and photography were all done by us.
